Julie Solomon, Esq.
As the daughter of the firm’s founders, Julie has been with Solomon and Solomon since her early childhood where she has many happy memories accompanying her parents to hearings and depositions on snow days. She has since risen in the ranks from tag-a-long, to receptionist, file clerk, collector, law clerk, associate attorney, managing attorney, vice president and now President and owner. Julie is deeply committed to the firm’s legacy and future, and its employees (including the office mascot, Ruby). Julie is licensed to practice law in NY, MA,CT, RI and DC and concentrates in the areas of collection and insurance subrogation litigation. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including NARCA, ACA, CLLA, and NASP and has held leadership positions within the Jewish Federation of NENY. When not at the office, Julie loves spending time with her husband and children, kayaking and sailing in Narragansett Rhode Island.
Norina Melita, Esq.
Norina is a licensed attorney in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. She has been with Solomon and Solomon since May 2012 and is now the Managing Attorney and Vice President of Legal Operations. Norina is a litigation attorney, with a focus on property damage and subrogation, but firmly believes that success in the legal field, and life in general, comes from effective negotiation. Norina is an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the College of St. Rose and serves as a District Representative for the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Section for the New York State Bar Association. Norina is also the Editor in Chief for the Perspective publication of the YLS and a contributor to the NYSBA State Bar News. She is also a member of the NYS Academy of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Association. Norina is most passionate about her family, particularly her young daughter, and volunteering in the community. She is fluent in English and Romanian.
Joshua Aron, Esq.
Joshua is a litigation attorney with Solomon and Solomon and is currently licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey. Prior to joining Solomon and Solomon, Joshua worked for the New York State Dispute Resolution Association where he managed the arbitration programs for the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Joshua has also gained experience in mediation and believes it to be an essential skill for successful negotiations. Joshua has written articles for the Huffington Post and the Young Lawyers Section of the New York State Bar Association. He enjoys aerial photography and is an ardent supporter of the New York Knicks.
Stephan Weiss, Esq.
Stephan is an attorney licensed in the State of New York.. He is a litigation attorney who began honing his courtroom craft and negotiating skills prior to graduating law school as a certified legal intern practicing in local city courts. Prior to joining Solomon and Solomon P.C. Stephan started at a general practice firm working on matters in all aspect of the law. Stephan utilizes his penchant for argument and analytical mind to generate the greatest results for his client while anticipating any potential pitfalls and perils of a matter. When not in the office, Stephan enjoys spending time with his fiancee and their two cats. Stephan spends the remainder of his free time tinkering with both modern electronics and vintage typewriters and in the winter he can be found snowboarding.
Linda Crane Devaney, Esq.
Linda has been with the firm since 2003 and had a per diem relationship with the firm for eight years prior to that. A graduate of Fordham University, Gabelli School of Business (BS) and Pace University School of Law (JD), Linda is admitted to practice in New York State and the State of Connecticut as well as in the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York for Federal practice. Linda believes in the value of reflection and renewal after participating in a nine day service trip to Appalachia in 2015, and she hopes to repeat that experience again soon. Married and the mother of two grown children, Linda enjoys beach vacations and spending time with friends (including her co-workers from Solomon and Solomon!).
